Goat milk has plenty of Skin Benefits - The Benefits of Goat's Milk Soap

Between showers, baths, and hand washing, we all use hand soaps and body soaps multiple times a day and in doing that we are continuously removing the natural oils that protect our skin. With so many types of soap available, knowing the pros and cons of each type of soap is crucial to using the right products for your skin. With this goal in mind, we are going to focus on the benefits of choosing to try using a Goat's Milk Soap.

In short, if you have vulnerable skin then goat's milk soap is a great choice for you. This type of soap is great because it does not dry or irritate your skin due to the fact that it contains several moisturizers as well as natural skin softeners, vitamins, minerals, triglycerides and calcium supplement. These soaps also contain alpha-hydroxy acids and helps to remove dead skin while leaving you feeling refreshed and regenerated. Although most commercial soaps will also leave your skin feeling refreshed, most of these soaps contain harsh chemicals that may also be damaging to your skin's healthy moisture barrier. For teenagers, goat's milk soap is a wonderful choice as it has been confirmed to effectively treat acne while being less allergenic than almost every other commercial soap. The advantages are not just for teenagers as continued use of goat's milk soap has been shown to reduce signs of aging including wrinkles and skin flaws.

By itself, goat's milk is a natural healer and moisturizer. It relieves irritation, cuts and dry skin and is rich with creams that are important for moisturizing. These creams enhance the softness and natural moisture of the skin and the homemade soaps are usually full of Vitamin A that will aid and regenerate damaged skin tissue. Furthermore, most of the home made bars also contain different vitamins including Vitamins H, B1, B6, B12 and E as well as selenium, a mineral that protects the epidermis from damage due to sun exposure. Another relief to your sensitive skin is that unlike many other soaps, goat's milk soaps are not made with water which will sometimes contain additional minerals that can irritate your skin. Soaps made from milk and other natural ingredients also offer numerous benefits for consumer use that are both immediate and lasting, although continued use of these natural soaps is encouraged. Next time you are choosing soap, why not give goat's milk a go?

  1. Have you had any experience with goat's milk soap and hard water? How does it do? I *love* handmade cold-process soap, but I have the hardest time finding natural soaps that don't leave a film on my skin ever since I moved.
